Hey folks! Just a quick update while I’m doing a LOT of things behind the scenes here!

The big thing I want to mention today is Dean Holland! I talked about Dean in my first post here, and make it no secret that he is a huge inspiration for me.

Dean is getting ready to launch his new internet marketing academy Starting With Marketing and I can tell you I am EXCITED about this!

There is always a LOT of hype around any new product, but so many of them just rehash the same ideas over and over, or worse yet leave out some critical piece of information that leaves you just short of success.

What Dean is doing here is a 6 week intensive course – starting with the complete basics.  Rather than the overdone promises of “YOU’LL MAKE $XXX,XXX IN 14 SECONDS ON COMPLETE AUTOPILOT WHILE TAKING YOUR DOG FOR A WALK”, Dean is promising to help a select group of people BUILD A BUSINESS!

A lot of the issues I’ve had in Internet Marketing Have been just trying to move from one small system to another small system without any REAL organization.  I’ve been trying to make quick cash, but not trying to create something that will last.  The worst part is, I KNOW BETTER.

There are two types of business mindsets – transaction based and relationship based.  A transactional business focuses on the next sale – and when someone buys, move on to the next.  This is fine for a time, but eventually the pool dries up.  I know that if I spend $47 (or more) on the ‘next big thing’, if I don’t feel like the person cares if it works for me or not, I’m going to think twice before buying from them again.  But, if the information is good – or better yet, if I’m treated as important – chances are good I won’t even hesitate before buying again.

Really, it’s similar to life.  I can go after the one night stands, or I can search for a lifelong mate.  The one night stands are great for a while, but the true happiness lies in the lifelong mate.  If I focus on the one night stands, I’m going to miss out on the relationship that’s possible – and miss out on extended happiness.  Sure, it takes more time, more effort, more flowers and chocolates, but in the end I’ve got something worth having – a business that lasts!
